The recent graduation ceremony of Tribrata Putra Sambo as a Junior Police Officer in 2026, marking his official attainment of the rank of Inspector Police Two (IPDA), has been a significant event, drawing considerable public attention. Beyond the pride and achievement of Tribrata, a poignant detail has emerged: his elder sister, Trisha Eungelica, was present despite suffering a recent eye injury. This revelation adds a layer of personal resilience to the family’s celebratory moment, highlighting Trisha’s dedication to supporting her younger brother on his historic day, even while still recovering. The circumstances surrounding Trisha’s injury and her determination to attend the ceremony have become a focal point of interest, shedding light on the family’s close bond.
The Unforeseen Playground Mishap
According to social media disclosures made by Trisha herself, the eye injury was not the result of a serious or life-threatening incident. Instead, it occurred during a seemingly innocuous activity: accompanying her younger sibling at a children’s playground. While navigating the recreational area, Trisha’s right eye was inadvertently struck by a large, soft foam ball, a common fixture in such play zones.
The impact, though from a child’s toy, was reportedly substantial enough to cause trauma to her eye. Trisha described experiencing immediate difficulty in opening her eye following the collision. This alarming symptom prompted her to seek prompt medical attention to prevent further complications and ensure optimal recovery. The incident, though accidental, underscored the unpredictable nature of even casual family outings and the importance of swift medical intervention when injuries occur.
A Significant Corneal Abrasion
Subsequent medical examinations confirmed that Trisha’s right eye had sustained a significant corneal abrasion. The doctor’s diagnosis indicated the severity of the scratch, necessitating specialized treatment to facilitate proper healing and safeguard her vision. The corneal abrasion, a common but potentially serious eye injury, involves the scraping or scratching of the transparent outer layer of the eye, the cornea. This can be caused by various factors, including direct trauma, foreign bodies, or even excessive eye rubbing.
In her Instagram posts, Trisha shared visual documentation of her eye undergoing treatment, candidly expressing the initial panic she felt. The inability to open her eye compounded the distress, making the experience particularly harrowing. She expressed gratitude towards Dr. Marsha, Sp.M, a medical professional she credited with her calm demeanor during the ordeal. "shoutout to dr marsha, Sp.M yg super baik n bikin w gak panik padahal jantungku dah mo copot gara2 gabisa melek," Trisha wrote, a sentiment that resonated with many of her followers who understood the fear associated with such an injury.
The recovery process for a corneal abrasion typically involves pain management, antibiotic eye drops to prevent infection, and in some cases, a protective bandage contact lens. The healing time can vary depending on the size and depth of the abrasion, but often ranges from a few days to a couple of weeks. Trisha’s situation demanded this careful management, especially given the proximity of her brother’s significant milestone.
Prioritizing Recovery for a Milestone Event
Despite the ongoing recovery, Trisha’s primary focus remained on adhering to medical advice to expedite her healing process. Her dedication to her brother’s graduation was evident in her commitment to her own rehabilitation. Gradually, her eye condition began to improve. The protective bandage that had covered her right eye was eventually removed shortly before Tribrata Putra’s graduation ceremony.
This positive development allowed Trisha to be present and actively participate in the significant event, offering her unwavering support as a family member. Her attendance, despite the recent injury, underscored the strength of familial bonds and the importance of shared milestones. Public awareness of her prior injury, which was not widely known before the ceremony, added a layer of admiration for her resilience and dedication.
