"We are open to everyone. So, we can absorb all possibilities. We are open, whoever wants to own our vehicles for company fleets or ride-hailing services, we can collaborate," Satriadi emphasized. This inclusive approach suggests VinFast’s ambition to become a significant player across multiple segments of the Indonesian two-wheeler market.
To support its product offerings and enhance user experience, VinFast is concurrently expanding its electric vehicle ecosystem through the development of a robust battery swapping network. In collaboration with V-Green, a partner in the electric mobility infrastructure sector, VinFast has already established over 2,000 battery swapping stations. These stations are strategically located across the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek) and several major cities on the island of Java, aiming to alleviate range anxiety and provide convenient charging solutions for its customers.
The company’s assessment of the Indonesian motorcycle market highlights its immense potential. With an annual sales volume exceeding six million units, Indonesia represents one of the largest two-wheeler markets globally. This substantial demand presents a promising landscape for the growth of electric two-wheelers. By implementing domestic production, expanding its battery swapping network, and fostering a comprehensive electric vehicle ecosystem, Satriadi expressed strong optimism about VinFast’s ability to solidify its penetration into the Indonesian electric motorcycle market.
"Indonesia has a large market. Annually, it’s over six million units. This is something very attractive for the two-wheeler business in Indonesia," he added, underscoring the strategic importance of the Indonesian market in VinFast’s global expansion plans.
